The great competition for CrossFit In Europe
The French Throwdown 2025 returns hard, as one of the most outstanding competitions of the European calendar of CrossFit. Since its creation, it has grown until it became an international reference, attracting elite athletes, consolidated and amateur teams around the world who seek to measure themselves, overcome and be part of a community united by effort, discipline and passion for sport.
This event is not only a Fitness celebration, but also an official classification event for CrossFit Games, granting direct places to the two best men and women in the elite category. To participate, the athletes must have finished in the 1% upper of world open.
Where and When is the French Throwdown 2025 celebrated?
Dates: From 9 to 11 of may 2025 (3 days).

Classification and Categories Process
- Direct invitations: 20 invitations to outstanding athletes will be awarded, including the 17 best of the European semifinal of CrossFit 2024 and the 3 best French athletes in the quarterfinals of 2024.
- Online qualifier: Open to all athletes, it was carried out from February 12 to 26, 2025. The participants had to complete several Wods within that period.
The categories available include:
- Individual: Elite, RX, Intermediate, beginners, Teens (16-17) and Masters (35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, +55).
- Teams: Elite, RX, Intermediate and beginners (all composed of 2 men and 2 women).

Our PICSIL athlete Moritz Fiebig (🇩🇪 Germany) had already secured his spot at the 2025 CrossFit Games by winning the Wodland Fest. This freed up an additional spot at the French Throwdown, allowing Calum Clements (🇪🇸 Spain), who finished third, to qualify for the Games.
On the other hand, Elisa Fuliano (🇮🇹 Italy), who placed first at the event, will not compete in the 2025 CrossFit Games as she chose not to register for the Open. Her absence freed up a spot that allowed Lucy McGonigle (🇮🇪 Ireland), third at the French Throwdown, to qualify.
Experience for the spectator: more than a competition
In addition to witnessing the intense competition, the French Throwdown 2025 It offers a complete experience for attendees, combining sports, gastronomy, music and activities for the whole family.
In the south of the Sud of France Arena, visitors will have:
