Maximize your performance with Cross Training apparel

When it comes to challenging your limits, clothing makes the difference. You switch from running to bar, from floor to jumps, and the clothing has to follow you without chafing, without weighing down, and without getting "soaked" halfway through the WOD. Here you'll find cross training apparel for men designed for demanding sessions: technical fabrics, cuts that do not limit, and durability for daily training. Because at PICSIL we know that it's not just a matter of style, but of performance, comfort, and durability.

If you also alternate strength + cardio, this selection also fits as hybrid apparel, and functional training apparel for its balance between lightness, breathability, and durability.

What should good men's cross training apparel have

When you choosemen's training apparel , prioritize this:

Real freedom of movement: elasticity and pattern that does not pull in squats, lunges, or gymnastics.

Sweat management: breathable and quick-drying fabric for pace changes.

Abrasion resistance: designed for bar, rope, box, and floor work.

Stable fit: that does not ride up, twist, or bother with movement.

Comfort without distractions: seams and finishes that reduce friction during long workouts. It's not just about technical materials, but finding the perfect balance between fit, breathability, and freedom of movement.

Men's training clothing by type of garment

Sport shirts for WOD

For metcons and intense workouts, look for shirts that:

evacuate sweat quickly

do not stick to the body when running or rowing

allow shoulder mobility (kipping, press, snatch)

Oversized sleeveless shirts

Oversize: more ventilation and relaxed feeling without restriction.

Sleeveless: maximum shoulder freedom and better ventilation in high-temperature sessions.

Shorts and short pants for cross training

A good short for WOD must:

accompany lunge and deep squat

do not "bite" at the waist when bending

maintain stability when running or jumping

Joggers and sports pants

Ideal for:

warm-up and cool-down

strength days

workouts in box/gym with low temperatures

Sports socks

In cross training, the sock matters more than it seems:

reduces chafing during running and jumping

improves comfort in lifts and dynamic work

helps keep the foot more stable during training

How to choose your crosstraining clothes according to your training

If you do WODs with a lot of running, jumping, or rowing

Prioritize:

light garments

high breathability

cuts that do not hinder the stride

If you do more weightlifting and strength

Prioritize:

freedom in hips and shoulders

stable fit at the waist

wear-resistant fabrics

If you do hybrid training (strength + cardio)

Choose "all-terrain" garments:

quick drying

medium/high elasticity

constant comfort in intensity changes
(this is what many people look for when talking about hybrid men's clothing).

How to care for your sportswear to make it last longer

Wash with cold water and avoid fabric softeners.

Air dry whenever you can.

Avoid ironing over prints/logos.

What is the difference between fitness clothing and men's cross training clothing?

In cross training you need more abrasion resistance, more mobility, and better performance in intensity changes (running + bar + ground), not just “comfort”.

What basic garments are needed to start?

A technical t-shirt, comfortable shorts for deep squats, and sports socks to prevent chafing.
